The annual benefit, Day On The Green, for the American Cancer Society is this Saturday, June 20th, at the Santa Clara Elks Lodge.
Food, drinks, fun – and lotsa great music – from 12:00-9:00! Several of us will have tables full of unique, handmade items (jewelry, hand-painted rocks, terrariums, to name a few) for sale.
I designed a “Gumball Terrarium” for this event which will be raffled off to 1 lucky person:
See you there!
Cats are a passion of mine (I tell people I came out of the womb loving cats). So, I’ve decided to include photos of the 2 felines that are part of this household.
Diego was born to a mother cat who was obviously an abandoned pet. He was the only one left of her litter when she brought him around. Looks pretty contented now…and is hopelessly devoted to me.
Leo was the runt (!) of a litter born to one of the many cats that get abandoned at California’s Great America. Fortunately, the employees there make sure they’re fed and spayed/neutered (obviously, Leo’s mom was missed the first time around…). Originally named “Creampuff”, he went through 2 homes (and a necessary name-change) before settling down here.
Just this side of heaven (4-14-16)
If you don’t already have a best fur-friend at home – now’s the time to go out and find one at your local shelter.
And here’s the love of my life… Ortoloni (RIP 12-4-2011)

Our table was set-up in the bar area – Louise was selling her beautiful jewelry. Usually we’re part of the Simply Stilettos events tucked away inside the Vodka Bar – but we were in the main thoroughfare last night, all night!
Great show! [ special shout-out to Miss Behaved ]

An annual benefit for the American Cancer Society, it’s held at the Elks Lodge located at 1680 Martin Avenue in Santa Clara.
Each year, a number of local bands donate their time entertaining the crowd; but this is the first year vendors will be selling items and I have been invited to participate. I’ll also be donating an item for the raffle…
This is family-friendly fun, so come out and support a good cause, listen to some of the best rock the Bay Area has to offer, and be a part of the “Day On The Green” @ The Lodge.
