Leave No Paws Behind has assured me they will continue to post updates on our ROCK STAR after he transitions to his foster home on 3.29.17!
In light of this, I’ve set him up with his own page: Valentino
His page includes a Gallery of mug-shots and a list of all Valentino Posts. By the way, this is my favorite shot of him right now:
He’s puttin’ on the pounds, too. This morning he weighed 9.8 pounds. 3.15.2017 video from LNPB:

“Happy Saturday and 1 month Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. RECUVERSARY to our sweet Valentino! We rescued Valentino on 2/11/2017 and at the tender age of 2-5 years old, he was in one of the most deplorable medical conditions we have seen in a very long time 😦 We would come to learn that he was suffering with Sarcoptic mange, ringworm and a host of so many other medical issues 😦 He was severely underweight at just under 6 pounds and extremely dehydrated. The docs told us that his condition was very similar to that of a ” burn victim” where the body keeps fighting itself for nutrients and healing. Today, 1 month later, Valentino is doing GREAT and in just 2 weeks, when his treatments are completed, he will be heading home to our loving and life saving foster mommy where he will continue to heal and grow stronger!
Weighing in today at just under 8 pounds, his body now seems to be accepting the nutrients and we should begin to start seeing this boy pack on the pounds! Doc tells us he should weigh anywhere from 13-15 pounds so he still has a way to go! His fur is beginning to grow back and as you all know and hear, he now has a strong voice 🙂 He has a way to go however he continues to improve and once he is healed he will be neutered and have a much needed dental. We want to thank all of you for your love, support and kind donations for Valentino, who has his medical care completely covered! We also want to thank our loving and life foster mommy who cannot wait to bring him home! Last but not least, we want to thank Elaine Seamans for alerting us to this sweet boy, the good folks at ACCESS: Advanced Critical Care Animal Hospital for helping Valentino through his crisis very early on and of course the amazing DVM Michelle Dulake and the entire staff at The Pet Doctors of Sherman Oaks for their amazing care and for bringing our boy this far! Happy 1 month rescuversary sweet Valentino, we can hear you ROAR!”
Or…give them a pair of shoes…
