Daily Tarot::9 of Swords

NOTE: The Black Panther is my Animal Totem

Ostara Tarot

Element:  Air
Number:   9 (my Life Path number) is the symbol of wisdom and initiation, is highly emotional, and holds the path to mystical knowledge. It is the last of the cardinal numbers. In love, Nines are romantic, ardent and impetuous; thriving on passion and excitement. Relationships lacking these qualities will never satisfy a Nine. They need to know their partner (or consort) “has their back” and that the relationship is a true and equal partnership in every way.

Nines appear when we have to face a situation on our own and make decisions for ourselves. Nines show that outside guidance or counsel either isn’t there, or we don’t need it.

The 9 of Swords is all about overwhelming fear and self-doubt. The monsters inside are ones you have created yourself (“mountains out of mole hills”). They are not based in reality. They are not real. The 9 of Swords may indicate other influences in your life contributing to your anxiety. Remain positive; don’t give in to the downward spiral of negativity. Revel in the beauty of day-to-day moments; find bliss in the simple things in life. If you’ve found a new love, don’t allow yourself to get too carried away – the 9 of Swords reminds you trust needs time to develop. This card also shows you may be worried about your financial situation. Since the number 9 stands for completion in Numerology, you may find this period of anxiety and fear is coming to an end very soon.

(Aligned with Mars in Gemini and known as the Lord of Cruelty, the 9 of Swords represents fear, anxiety, and the growing awareness of personal truths.)

In addition to the regular methodology I use for drawing my Daily Tarot Card, I’m starting to draw a SECOND card from the top of the deck (curiosity mostly, but also to compare the two):
Knight of Wands  – Fire
The Knight of Wands Reversed was last drawn on 7.20.2017
This Knight is my heart and soul, and is most certainly connected to my Daily Tarot Card, the 9 of Swords. He is my champion and protector. A true Knight who “has my back” and is the rock beneath my feet as I wage war upon my “monsters”.
