Queen of Wands
Queen of the Thrones of FlameMars in Aries: The first sign (and Fire sign) of the Zodiac, Aries is ruled by the planet Mars. Mars (Ares in Greek mythology) is the Roman God of War, embodying courage, action, aggression, and force of Will. In addition to those same characteristics, Aries equals the spark of creativity and inspiration.
Number 13 = 4: Processing ideas into reality, physically dynamic, formation.
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Muse. When I first started working with Tarot, I immediately identified with the Queen of Wands. Hers was the only card in the Rider-Waite deck that included a cat – and a black cat to boot! (Cats are symbols of watchfulness, awareness, perception, and psychic ability.)
I started researching who this Queen was. It actually surprised (and delighted) me to learn that our personalities were sympatico. I had found my Tarot counterpart and partner in crime, and gave her a page on my website!

The Queen of Scepters mirrors (metaphorically) what I wrote in my Journal earlier this morning:
First thing this morning, Diego and I lazed in bed gazing into each other’s eyes. We were so close I could see the reflection of my face in his pupils. What a wonderful way to wake up and start the day. I want to cherish each moment with my "panther boy".![]()
Talk about synchronicity… This Queen is so secure in her strength and abilities she doesn’t even need a throne, instead preferring to recline seductively atop a sarcophagus. Need we even mention the fact that the Queen of Scepters is the quintessential seductress? This Vampyress is no shrinking violet. See the upside-down heart atop the scepter? In the Tarot of Vampyres this symbolizes masculine energy. She’ll do the pursuing, and no man (or woman for that matter) will be able to resist her.
