The Sun

Herb:  Angelica

As the Moon is considered a female energy, while the Sun is masculine, most often celebrations to the Goddess are done at night; however, these three women are unconcerned with such formalities and are celebrating under the benevolent warmth of the Summer Sun – with their feline companions in observance.

These three women represent the “Three Faces of the Goddess”: Maiden, Mother, and Crone. All are surrounded by a field of Sunflowers, whose upturned faces take on the mirror image of their namesake, the Sun. “As Above, So Below.” Blessed Be.

The Sun is is one of the most positive (if not the most positive) cards to see in a reading; representing optimism, vitality, clarity of vision, and creative inspiration. Like the planet itself, The Sun illuminates all it touches. It is lightbringer and life-giver. It lights your way, filling you with inspirational energy that bursts forth upon the world.

“Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.”
