A word about Aces. They are the power players in a spread and represent beginnings, opportunities, potential, and emerging trends epitomized by the qualities of their suit.

You’ll notice that I’ve separated the first two cards from the third one. The Ace of Knives (Swords) and Six of Skulls (Pentacles) address a problem, issue, or obstacle – while the Nine of Scepters symbolizes the Querent.
The suit of Swords symbolizes thought, mental processes, intellect, logic, and objectivity. Astrologically Swords are linked to the Air signs (Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini).
Swords penetrate to the heart of a matter, cutting through to the truth. The Ace of Knives foretells an “Ah ha” moment of clarity that gives rise to a resolution (or improvement) to a situation or circumstance. Together with the Six of Skulls, the outcome will create a sense of well-being for the Querent. A blessing.
“They broke the wrong parts of me. They broke my wings and forgot I had claws.” – Unknown
The Nine of Scepters signifies inner strength, great power, unshakable resolve, transformation, and adaptability.
