Just In Time (for Halloween 2021)

As if I don’t have enough movies in my collection already – let alone horror films – the postman delivered these today:

The Wolfman Complete Legacy Collection contains movies made from 1935-1948: Werewolf of London (1935), The Wolf Man (1941), Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943), House of Frankenstein (1944), House of Dracula (1945), She-Wolf of London (1946, starring Lassie‘s own June Lockhart), and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948); and a number of Bonus Features (Monster by Moonlight documentary, The Wolf Man: From Ancient Curse to Modern Myth, Pure in Heart: The Life and Legacy of Lon Chaney Jr., He Who Made Monsters: The Life and Art of Jack Pierce, The Wolf Man Archives, Abbott and Costello Meet the Monsters, and more).

From the back cover:

The original Wolf Man is one of the silver screen’s most unforgettable characters and, along with the other Universal Classic Monsters, defined the Hollywood horror genre. The Wolf Man: Complete Legacy Collection includes all 7 films from the original legacy including the eerie classic starring Lon Chaney Jr. and the timeless films that followed. These landmark motion pictures defined the iconic look of the tragic monster and continue to inspire countless remakes and adaptations that strengthen the legend of the Wolf Man to this day.

Last week I received an excellent werewolf movie I ordered
which I had reviewed back in 2018:

Time to settle in with a good horror flick,
some popcorn, and my sidekick.

The Lords of Oktober

At first glance you may think these two are at odds with one another.

In one sense you would be right for the Lord of Scepters (King of Wands) is of Fire, while the Lord of Grails (King of Cups) is connected to the element of Water. I see a little Push-Pull still engaged here, as well. But when we take a look at this spread we see they actually have each other’s back.

The Lord of Scepters rides a Red Roan stallion through a fiery inferno. With blazing Scepter in hand, this Vampyre Lord is on a crusade. He is a Warrior, fighting courageously and defiantly – at times violently – for others or for his own convictions.

n. A concerted effort or vigorous movement for a cause or against an abuse.

An enchanter, mystic, and shapeshifter, the Lord of Grails represents mastery of the emotional realm, spirituality, creativity, empathy, and intuition. “In contrast to the Lord of Scepters, who projects his Will onto others, the Lord of Grails sucks in and absorbs the energies of people and essences outside of him.” [1]

Scepters (Wands) are associated with the Will, energy, passion, action, and spirituality; while Grails (Cups) deal with emotions, relationships, intuition, and psychic awareness. The Lord of Scepters heads straight on to confront the enemy – with might and right on his side. The Lord of Grails faces the enemy with potent magic, stealing the hostile energies of his foes to use against them. These two are Yin-Yang. Opposite but complementary. Their union makes them INVINCIBLE.

You need chaos in your soul.

Cats are like Puzzle Boxes::Snow Leopard

I was fortunate to get up-close-and-personal with a snow leopard many, many years ago at a place in Redwood Shores, CA, known as Marine World/Africa USA. They had one show in a very small amphitheater in which “animal ambassadors” were the stars. One of those stars was a blind Snow leopard named Tasha. Those shows were my favorites and I never missed a chance to go. While walking around the park afterwards we found ourselves next to her enclosure. Although we couldn’t get close enough to touch her (That’s what the Animal Ambassador show was all about.) we could admire her beauty and call to her from the other side of the fence. I will never forget that brief encounter with the beautiful Tasha.

October 23 is
International Snow Leopard Day

The Snow leopard (Panthera uncia) is the seventh largest cat in the world and is native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. The cat is widely used in heraldry and as an emblem in Central Asia; and is the state animal of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh in India.

Black spots and rosettes on white-to-grayish fur helps the Snow leopard blend into its environment. It makes for the purrr-fect camouflage. Snow leopards have an elevated forehead with small rounded ears, and a vertical chin. Their muzzle is short with large nasal cavities and the eyes range from pale green to grey. They possess a stocky, short-legged body with incredibly dense fur, wide paws, and a luxuriously long, thick tail.

Although their closest relative is the Tiger, Snow leopards cannot roar. But they do hiss, chuff, meow, growl, and wail – and can even purr when exhaling.

The Snow leopard is capable of killing most animals in its range, with the probable exception of the adult male yak. Except when on the prowl for a mate, they are solitary. (Like most felines.) Snow leopards become sexually mature at two to three years, and a female usually produces two to three cubs in a litter. They normally live 15–18 years in the wild, but in captivity they can live for up to 25 years.

Snow leopards are listed as VULNERABLE on the IUCN Red List with their populations declining in the wild; and classified as an Appendix I Endangered Species by CITES (which means international trade is prohibited). The Snow leopard has been listed as threatened with extinction in Schedule I of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals since 1985.

In India, the Snow leopard is granted the highest level of protection under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 where hunting is sentenced with imprisonment of 3–7 years. In Nepal, it has been legally protected since 1973, with penalties of 5–15 years in prison and a fine for poaching and trading it. Since 1978, it has been listed in the Soviet Union’s Red Data Book of the Russian Federation as threatened with extinction. Hunting Snow leopards has been prohibited in Afghanistan since 1986. In China, Snow leopards have been protected by law since 1989 (hunting and trading Snow leopards or their body parts constitute a criminal offence that is punishable by the confiscation of property, a fine and a sentence of at least 10 years in prison) and has been protected in Bhutan since 1995. In 1984, The Snow Leopard Species Survival Plan® (SSP) was initiated; and by 1986, American zoos housed 234 of these remarkable cats.

THREATS: Poaching and illegral trade of skins and body parts (for use in Chinese and Mongolian pseudo-medicines); habitat loss; and human-wildlife conflict.

In the end we will conserve only what we love,
we will love only what we understand,
and we understand only what we are taught.

Push Me, Pull Me. Are you ready for the Hunt?

Wednesday’s Full Moon is the Hunter’s Moon and it arrives at 7:56am PST on October 20, 2021. Oh, did I mention it’s transiting in Aries? The Sun’s in Libra (diplomacy, equality, fairness) which is opposite Aries in the Zodiac. Opposite signs create a mirror reflecting back to one another the traits each is lacking. For instance, Libra represents diplomacy, equality, and compromise while Aries is all about assertiveness, direct action, and passion. Libra is ruled by Venus (Goddess of Love) while Aries is ruled by Mars (God of War). In Roman mythology Venus and Mars were lovers. They say opposites attract and that was certainly the case here. Yin and Yang.

Both Aries and Libra are Cardinal signs – Initiators – which set things in motion. In astrology, modalities (modes) indicate how one deals with their environment and these two have a strong need to control what’s happening around them.

© sacredastrology.org 2021

So with this Full (Hunter’s Moon) we have the opposing energies of Libra and Aries, with both wanting to be in control of the action. Push-Pull. While we’re at it, let’s throw in Pluto (God of the Underworld) which forms a T-square with the Moon. Pluto is the planet of death/rebirth, so with Mars and Pluto we have a witch’s brew of fiery transformation going on! The intensity will propel us forward with great momentum.

Anger is a Gift. Use it Wisely.

Things will feel intense and more than a little chaotic. Libra’s need for balance and harmony will be put to the test. Being the God of War, Mars will want to engage in battle while Pluto may unearth old wounds and destructive behaviors. Use that aggression to create something positive. Embrace the changes that ultimately come when truths are unveiled. Both within or without.

The only constant is Change.

The Lord of Earned Success is governed by Mercury (thought) in Aquarius (originality).

Communicating concepts and ideas effectively between opposing forces is highlighted. Your higher consciousness (Symbolized by the crow.) will be sending you signs such as hidden messages and “coincidences”. A vision of the future effects a turning point in your Destiny. The 6 of Knives (Swords) is a card of freedom, optimism, discovery, movement, and insight.

Huzzahs for the Heroes ~ and a little something for The Haters

As of October 17, 2021 the % of CV-19 cases resulting in DEATH = 1.61 (.0161).
That’s right. 1% of people in the U.S. who have contracted the virus have actually DIED.

Think about that. I didn’t pull this statistic off social media. I didn’t pull this statistic from the news. I actually took the time to go to Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center and did the math. Anyone can – even you. Think about that. CAN you think? Or am I assuming too much here? Is half of the U.S. populace really mindless zombies? (That would account for the huge popularity of zombie entertainment…) Or are you simply soulless automotons?

Not standing up for the freedom of others…
meant surrendering one’s own freedom.

– Václav Havel

There are many heroes in the world right now who are fighting against authoritarianism and oppression in its many forms. But Freedom Begins at Home, where many are standing up for their individual rights and freedoms – as well as yours. This list is by no means complete for there are over 156 MILLION of us in this country alone. AMERICAN HEROES. WE ARE LEGION.

An individualist is a man who says: I will not run anyone’s life – nor let anyone run mine. I will not rule nor be ruled. I will not be a master nor a slave. I will not sacrifice myself to anyone – nor sacrifice anyone to myself.
– Ayn Rand

I stand behind each and every one of these individuals, if not in body then in heart and mind, for saying “NO TO MANDATES”.

    (In no particular order.)

  • Now vilified, the Frontline Heroes of this “pandemic” – the healthcare workers that have or will lose their jobs.
  • Members of the police and military across the country that have or will lose their jobs.
  • Ditto the firefighters – even as they battle blazes that threaten life and nature.
  • Those in the public sector (such as schools, colleges, universities, and local government offices) who will or have lost their jobs.
  • Ditto for those in the private sector (Most recently the pilots of Southwest Airlines).
  • UFC head, Dana White.
  • Dr. Kevin Stellwagon (Orange County, FL)
  • Jonathan Isaac (NBA player, Orlando Magic)
  • Kyrie Irving (NBA player, Brooklyn Nets) (BTW, his claims about microchips are NOT unfounded: This video is not for the squeamish.)
  • The “5 Doctors“.
  • Catherine Austin Fitts
  • Dr. Joseph Mercola: “”…by shaming people who have concerns about participating in a medical experiment and threatening to bar them from society, government officials are proving that this is not for the greater good. It’s not about public health. It’s about creating loyal subjects…”
  • Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
  • The lawyers who are filing suits against this tyranny.
  • The Corona Investigative Committee.
  • Parents who’ve yanked their children from public schools into private ones – or better yet, are homeschooling them.
  • Governors Ron DeSantis (Florida) and Greg Abbott (Texas).
  • Paul Shortino (“…when you have to bribe people to take something, you kind of wanna question it.”)
  • Ted Nugent (BTW, Blabbermouthpiece uses articles like this to push THE NARRATIVE. Asswipes.)
  • Aaron Rogers drops CV-19 TRUTH BOMBS on a hit sports talk show.
  • Eric Clapton

Huzzah to everyone listed above!

Now, on to The Haters…

Though The Architects of this little social experiment (Schwab, Rockefellers, B&M Gates, ad nauseam) and their henchmen (politicians, corporate lapdogs, media moguls, and Fauci Two-Face) can all be considered “Haters”, I’d like to turn my full attention towards individuals who blindly follow the propaganda being fed them, and as a result have become virulent and toxic zombies filled with hatred towards anyone who questions the narrative. Or, as Dr. Binoy Kampmark puts it: “…this baffling and trite notion that ‘we’ and ‘all this’ and ‘together’ are somehow linked in blood sealed harmony, binding Homo sapiens in a bond of preservation that urges us to suffer together in order to survive.” Indeed.

The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous
rather than cowardly.

– Robert Anton Wilson

(This is not an exhaustive list, by any means.)

  • Sean Penn (Calls for mandatory vaccinations, says it’s no different than requiring a driver’s license)
  • Sharon Stone (The over-the-hill actress wants a fully vaccinated set on her next gig, and says she’s being threatened she’ll lose the job because of it.)
  • Management of the Atlanta Hawks’ basketball team who told player Brandon Goodwin to keep his MOUTH SHUT about blood clots from CV-19 vaccine that ended his season and maybe his career
  • Every American Should be Mandated to be Vaccinated.” (Sebastian Bach)
  • Vaccine Mandates ‘Should’ be the New Normal.” (George Lynch)
  • Gene Simmons
  • Former NBA stars Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (compares a seat belt to getting JABBED – what a moron), Shaquille O’Neal (“I wouldn’t want to be part of a team that couldn’t get together and couldn’t win a championship because you did this [declined the JAB]”)
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger (“Screw your freedom.”)
  • Willie Garson (“We’ll be wearing masks the rest of our lives because of these fucking idiots not wearing masks and refusing vaccines.”) Mr. Garson’s life was cut short last month. Boo-hoo.
  • Former member of Cycle Sluts from Hell (“Oh, and get fucking vaccinated if you haven’t already. Don’t be a dick.”)
  • For all you arrogant morons who claim this vaxx is no different from other mandated vaccines, here’s a quote from Dr. Suneel Dhand, “The virus which causes CV-19 is an unstable virus and in that way it is similar to the influenza virus…[CV-19 vaccine] is not like a vaccine against a stable pathogen like measles, mumps, or even smallpox in that you give the vaccine and then there’s zero chance of you getting the illness afterward.”
  • Don Lemon (“All unvaxxed Americans should be ELIMINATED from society.”)
  • Keith Olbermann (“It’s time to stop coddling them [the un-vaxxed].”)
  • DNA Lounge (SF, CA)
  • It’s still not safe [to go on the road] until these fucking knuckleheads do what’s right so society can function and get their fucking vaccines. (Al Jourgensen)
  • (By the way, Al, I’m not a “herd” animal. I’m a human being.)

    n. A group of cattle or other domestic animals of a single kind kept together for a specific purpose.

I have a little gift to brighten your day…OPEN.

then they fight you, then you win.
