bridges in the world: Mosquito Bridge.
Located in El Dorado County, California, in USA, this small suspension bridge was originally built in 1867 and reconstructed on the existing foundations in 1939. The road over the bridge is called Mosquito Road. It’s one of the most spectacular bridges in the world.
This single lane bridge is 148 ft long over the South Fork of the American River. Trailers are prohibited. It’s often called the ‘Swinging Bridge’ in reference to the physical nature of the original suspension cable bridge.

It’s the bridge that is used going to-and-from the town of Placerville itself. It does “creak” when driving on it. (Everyone that lives up here knows the Rule about taking turns to cross it.)
