The time to strike is now.

My Will is My Weapon.

The 8 of Scepters (Wands) is one of my very favorite cards in the Tarot of Vampyres. The “Lord of Swiftness” is ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius and represents sudden and direct action, movement, progress, momentum, and purpose.

Eights signify movement and Wands are associated with the Will. There’s a magnificent fierceness in the way this Vampyre is executing his attack. He is focused on his target, using the Scepter (symbolizing his fiery Willpower) as a weapon. Take No Prisoners.

Mercury is the planet of communication, thus this card may point to an intense outpouring of thoughts, ideas, inspiration, and creativity.

There is a time to let things happen
and a time to make things happen.

Women.

Women
Def Leppard

In the beginning, God made the land
Then he made the water and creatures, then he made man
He was born with a passion, love and hate
A restless spirit with a need for a mate
But there was something missing, something lost
So he came with the answer, here’s what it cost
One part love, one part wild, one part lady, one part child

I give you (Women, women)
Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can’t live without them
(Women, women) Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can’t live without them

And in the garden, lust began
The animal instinct, the wanton man
She fed him with a hunger, an appetite
And filling with emotion he took a bite
It was one part love, one part child
One part lover, one part wild

I give you (Women, women)
Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can’t live without them
(Women, women) Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can’t live without them

Skin on skin
Let the love begin
Women

It was one part love, one part wild
One part lover, one part child
A whole lot of fire, a little bit of ice
A whole lot of something you can’t sacrifice

(I give you) Hair, eyes, skin on skin
(Legs) Legs
(Thighs) Thighs
What’s that spell? (Spell, what’s that spell?)
(What’s that spell?) What’s that spell?
(What’s that spell?) (Women, women)
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
(Women) Women
(Women) Calling every girl
(Women, women) All around the world
(Women) Women
(Women) Oh, we can’t live without them
(Women) Women

I am not Victim…

I am Bête Noire.

Although it’s traditionally a card that holds more negative than positive, I am fond of it. It is sensually Fierce. The 5 of Skulls (Pentacles) is governed by Mercury in Taurus which manifests here as a Nightmare – a phantom. A symptom of an overactive mind.

However, I am identifying as the Nightmare (not his female victim) who is breaking free (destroying?) that which is devoid of originality or creativity: The Hive Mind.

Life will deliver the creative energy we need
to change into the new thing we must become.

Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.*

Today I am calm and industrious.

Before we get to the meat of this Post I’d like to talk about WORDS (On of my favorite topics.); specifically, the manner in which something is expressed.

    Consider these three statements

  • Today I will try to be calm and industrious.
  • Today I will be calm and industrious.
  • Today I am calm and industrious.

Can you guess which one is the most powerful affirmation and why?

While they are all declarations, the last one is the most potent because it is a confirmation; a verification that something is true or has happened. Using the present tense (“I am”) turns a wish into a reality.

The Hierophant is the Trump card of Taurus. (Interestingly, the Sun, Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus are all in Taurus right now.)

The Magician and The Hierophant are very similar in that they are both considered mages; however, while The Magician (The Magus of Power) is a mover and shaper, The Hierophant (The Magus of the Eternal) is a communicator of knowledge. (The word Hierophant means “the one who teaches the holy things”.) He is an interpreter of sacred mysteries or arcane knowledge.

Although this card traditionally stands for established dogma and traditions, it can also indicate one should trust in their own principles and ideas. Stand by your beliefs and retain your sense of self, with calm assurance. Rituals of any kind are encouraged… (That’s where the industrious part comes into play.)

“If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.”
“Knowledge has to be improved, challenged, and increased constantly,or it vanishes.”
“Knowledge is power.” (LOL! We’ve all heard that one.)
